Distinguished Panel to Elevate Harcum College's Mid Year Fashion Reviews

Philadelphia, PA - Harcum College's fashion department will host its Mid Year Critique for Fall 2023, bringing together a remarkable panel of industry experts to review and provide valuable feedback to its promising students.

This year's panel will feature a diverse group of professionals, each bringing their unique perspective and wealth of experience to the table.

Prajje Oscar, a Haitian born, US-based fashion designer renowned for his understanding of the female form and exquisite cuts, led the panel. Oscar, a Massachusetts College of Art alum, has been a significant figure in the fashion industry since opening his fashion house in 2003. His designs have graced the runways of New York and the red carpet, earning him widespread acclaim.

Joining him will be Jai Monee’, a versatile artist from Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood. Known for her work in black futurism, surrealism, and sustainability, Monee’ has made a name for herself as a wardrobe stylist, costume designer, and production designer. Her involvement in notable events like the Roots Picnic and her curatorial work at The Sable Collective highlight her diverse talents.

The panel will also include Julie Wilch, a seasoned model and fashion show producer with over 30 years of experience in the Philadelphia fashion scene. Wilch, who has been pivotal in producing shows at various prestigious venues, brought her extensive knowledge of the industry to the critique.

Renee Hill, the creator behind the innovative Harx4 brand, will be another esteemed member of the panel. Hill's designs, known for their modern and sophisticated approach, have made a significant impact in the fashion world. Her advocacy for women's empowerment and diversity in fashion added a crucial dimension to the discussions.

Lastly, the panel will feature Angela Edmunds-Blue, a veteran in the business of fashion. With over two decades of experience in strategic planning and brand positioning, Edmunds-Blue's insights were invaluable. Her roles in various capacities, including the Designer Committee Chair of Philadelphia Fashion Week, have positioned her as a leading authority in the fashion business.
