Letters of Recommendation

To Whom It May Concern,
It’s is my pleasure to go give a positive recommendation for Ms. Julian Crooks for the position of Full Professor.
If anyone is more qualified for this position it is none other than Ms. Crooks, her lasting impression on me will last a lifetime. Since graduating from Harcum I have started my own business as an e-commerce brand and recently opened a small design studio. I do not believe I would have been able to have the knowledge and ability to run my business without the tools she gave me. In my day to day task, there are things so small such as email writing or the merchandising tools that I use for my business today. As an instructor, she is hands-on and will take her time and explain to the student what they need to know. I cannot recall a time that I felt like I could not go to her and get advice or help with any upcoming projects. Her vast knowledge of fashion is extensive and her eye at helping students bring out their best work is impressive. I believe she possesses all the qualifications and her students will agree. What she has done and continues to do for the fashion program has brought the scale of student’s work and fashion shows to impressive heights. As alumni going to the fashion shows I can see the hard work she has put in and it completely shows. She truly cares about the students, their work, and helping them get to their full potential with a loving demeanor that will last with me a lifetime. I know she will continue to do so and help mold the fashion designers of the future and is one of the greatest pieces of Harcum. I know with this promotion she will continue to contribute her impressive curriculum that enriches and turns students into designers and merchandisers. I would be happy to answer any questions or discuss my recommendation further. Please feel free to call me at 267-241-0811

Dear Committee Members:
I am more than pleased to have the opportunity to recommend Julian Crooks
for the promotion of full professor in the fashion department. I has been an honor to work collaboratively alongside Julian for the past six years at Harcum College. Julian is an outstanding professor, and I have always been impressed by her professionalism and admirable personal qualities.
As an adjunct in the fashion department, Julian demonstrates her passion, creativity and experience in the fashion industry with her students daily. In particular, Julian was instrumental during Harcum’s centennial celebration with coordinating the “One Hundred Years of Fashion” visual display. Moreover, Julian has been instrumental in forming partnerships with outside organizations that will support the fashion students’ professional development. She takes the students on field experiences that expose them to careers in fashion, she also invites guest speakers from the fashion industry to come into class and share their career experiences with the students.
In addition to Julians’ impressive portfolio of professional accomplishments, she has one of the best personalities I have ever had the joy of working with. She is a true servant leader who is dedicated to enriching the lives of others.
I wholeheartedly recommend Julian Crooks for this position. I am confident she is an invaluable asset to the fashion department and Harcum College. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding her character or past work.
Sincerely,
Danyele Dove, MSW, CPRW, CEIP
To Whom it May Concern,
I am more than happy to present this recommendation letter to you for Julian Crooks as your next Professor. I started here at Harcum in 2014 and it was her expertise, along with Winifred Curtis, and guidance that has led to my successes thus far. They have a superb partnership. She is an advocate for assisting both the students and myself in exceeding their potential.
Mrs. Crooks was always looking for innovative solutions to even the most basic issues in the classroom. Whenever I was stuck on a lecture or assignment, she has been very strategic in assisting me in managing effective coursework to bring about the most optimal learning experience for our students. This also translated very well into the classroom where she challenge students through developing their talents. She is innovative in her coursework and supported me through the development of the classes I teach as well. She is well prepared to move into the Full Professor role.
Students reacted extremely well to her methods. She would engage students with an interactive teaching style and is patient enough with them to support them through difficult tasks. Her educational process resulted in a circumspect improvement in the quality of students at Harcum and drove them into furthering their education in upperclassmen programs as well.
Mrs. Crooks is also extremely dedicated to the concept of education. She feels a strong sense of responsibility to the students in her classes and she takes their success very personally. Mrs. Crooks has an amazing sense of restraint and balance that allows this teaching method and support system to work.
As a professor, Mrs. Crooks would continue to succeed in all of her efforts. I am available if you need further information. Please feel free to call me at 215-688-6979 or email me at cavent@harcum.edu
Sincerely Yours,
